Registration is now open for the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities’ conference, "Changing Faces: Cultural Competency, Diversity and Reconciliation." The conference will take place Sept. 25-26, 2011, at Trinity Christian College, in Palos Heights, Ill., and will address the Christian imperative for flourishing, diverse communities, and ongoing concerns regarding diversity within higher-education institutions.
The conference’s goal is to improve the development of cultural competencies and the understanding of opportunities and barriers to increasing diversity, as well as how to increase the understanding of and need for reconciliation.
If you are interested in attending, please check with your supervisor to see if your department can cover the travel and conference expenses. Please note that two grants of $300 each are available through the office of Intercultural Relations on a first-come, first-served basis.
