Spokane Clean Air: "On the Air" newsletter; special program for children; advisory council position open

Consider commute alternatives; Feb. 12 program for children; "On the Air" newsletter

The winter weather since November has had a definite impact on air quality in the Spokane area. One of the ways each of us can help improve our air quality is by using an alternative to driving alone to work. JoAnn Fox, Whitworth’s employee transportation coordinator, can assist you in finding an alternative option. Please give her a call at x4413.

If you are looking for a creative way to spend a Saturday with your children or grandchildren, consider signing up for a special program, “I Love Clean Air,” which will take place at Mobius Kids on Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. For more details, please call 509.477.4747, x114.

The Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency recently published the winter edition of its newsletter, “On the Air.” The newsletter informs local residents on all aspects of outdoor air pollution. The winter edition includes information on temperature inversions and air quality, and on wood-burning restrictions and burn bans. You can even sign up for e-mail alerts when there is a burn ban. Please visit “On the Air” to read the winter edition of this informative newsletter.
